What is the Early
Education Library Archive?
The Early Education Library
was first established for the Nursery School Association in September 1943. The Library
was part of a new Centre and Headquarters for the Association at 1 Park Crescent Portland
Place. Donations for the Centre were received from members and branches, and amongst
others received, The Carnegie United Kingdom Trust donated £2,000 for an International
Reference Library. More books have been donated in recent years and these are being added
to the list.
The library archive is managed by the Early Education Librarian and Archivist,
Hilary Pursehouse.
Where is the Early
Education Archive?
The Library is housed at
the Head Office of Early Education.
Who can access
the Early Education Archive?
Members of Early Education can
visit the Library by appointment only. Please contact the Archivist or Staff at Head
Office to arrange this.
