The characteristics of effective early learning: becoming an effective learner for life
Effective early childhood learning means focusing on how rather than what children learn. Children’s learning and development from birth to five occurs as the result of a complex interaction between the child and their experiences within relationships and in the environment. The independent review of the Early Years Foundation Stage undertaken by Dame Clare Tickell identified playing and exploring, active learning and creating and thinking critically as the three characteristics of effective learning that are related to the key themes in early childhood development. Join Helen Moylett, Sue Rogers, Nancy Stewart and David Whitebread as we explore together how to marry conceptual understanding with practical application. click here
