Webinar Description

The EYFS Reforms will be statutory from September 2021. These two online sessions will support practitioners to:

  • become familiar with the changes to the EYFS reforms and the educational programme for literacy
  • explore the role of the adult in supporting ALL children to achieve good outcomes in literacy
  • consider how to support children to develop a life-long love of reading and to maximise opportunities for literacy throughout the environment
  • develop confidence to keep on doing what we know is right for children

Reference will be made to the Birth to Five Matters publication and how this can be used to support children’s literacy development.

(Please note: if you have already attended 'Getting it right for children: Literacy and the EYFS reforms' that there may be some overlap of content in relation to the reforms.)

The webinar will take place on the following dates and times:

Session 1: 18th May, 7pm-8.30pm (Recording now available).
Session 2: 25th May, 7pm-8.30pm (Recording now available).

This webinar will be delivered by Penny Cartwright.
