About York Branch
The branch was established 16 years ago. It aims to support the professional development of representatives from all providers of early education and care in the wider York area - including Leeds and North and East Yorkshire. It provides a local early years forum for these practitioners and teachers to share practice and experiences to enhance young children’s learning.
The York and District branch organizes three CPD meetings a year, and meetings are open to all those working with children 0-8 years.
The programme aims to raise awareness of national and local initiatives for those working with young children. We respond to suggestions from members, and include outside speakers as well as local experts and innovators.
We aim to make charges affordable and members of Early Education can attend most meetings for free.
The 2016 Programme has included two very popular sessions: Jan White’s Every Child a Mover and Jackie Marsh’s Exploring Play and Creativity in Pre-Schoolers' Use of Apps.
