Becoming a Writer in Leaps and Bounds

Aim: to develop boys’ and girls’ motivation, confidence and skills as early writers

Delegates will have opportunities to:

  • Review and update their understanding of early writing development
  • Consider the role of the adult in supporting children to develop a writer’s voice
  • Be introduced to some new ways to provide stimulating and active opportunities for writing through play

Audience: EYFS practitioners, especially those working with 2 and a half year olds to five year olds; KS1 practitioners
