There are biological differences in boys’ and girls’ abilities in the preschool years. But it’s the child’s environment, perhaps more than anything, that determines the development of essential skills, and it’s precisely this that we as early years practitioners can influence.
Participants will be able to:
Better understand these differences and know which strategies will support boys in various aspects of learning
- Movement and Space
- Visuospacial and Auditory Processing
- Fine-motor Skills
- Behaviour and Emotion
- Supporting the Interests of Boys
This training will include a mix of active learning, presentation, small and large group discussion and is available as a whole day session for staff teams to reflect on practice.
