The outdoor environment is where children often feel most comfortable and perform at their best. It is the place where children can play in ways that they cannot do indoors and where we can observe children working in highly creative ways. We must recongnise, value and nurture creativity.
This course will:
- Explore what we mean by creative thinking
- The organization of the space and resources we offer children (in the outdoor environment) to develop ideas.
- Consider the opportunities available (in the outdoor environment), which promote creative thinking and recognize the attitudes, values and attention of the adults in supporting children’s creativity.
