Young children’s mark making is increasingly being recognized as a powerful tool for thinking and learning across all curriculum areas. This course will support practitioners to develop their awareness and understanding of the components of a rich and enabling environment for mark making, it will:
- Explore the potential for mark making within an emotionally and physically rich environment’s, that is well resources and well organized
- Identify the role of the adult in offering opportunities for children to explore mark making
- Establish the link between confident mark makers and competent communicators, both orally and on paper, in all areas of learning.
