Making sense of and promoting positive behaviour
This lively interactive course will offer opportunity to explore:
- Developmental and neuroscientific research about young children’s behaviour (birth to 5 and especially two year olds)
- The implications of PSED as a prime area of learning for the environment we offer
- Reflecting on our adult role and the impact we have on children’s behaviour
- Exploring ways to increase the effectiveness of our strategies
The revised EYFS gives us an opportuntity to refresh our thinking and approach to behaviour. PSED is now recognized as a Prime area of learning for our young children. As adults we can improve our practice through developing our understanding of why it is so important and what we can do to help and support children’s learning about behaviour and social relationships.
