Aims and objectives - Delegates will have opportunities to:
- Review how children's speech, language and communication skills develop;
- Consider the role of the adult and develop a range of strategies which promote the development of speech, language and communication;
- Make links with initiatives such as the Inclusion Development Programme (IDP), ECAT and the statutory framework of the EYFS;
- Understand the benefits of monitoring children's progress with regard to their communication and language development.
