Evidencing children’s progress in the EYFS and using the information to impact on children’s learning

Delegates will have opportunities to:

• become familiar with the Ofsted expectations
• consider how to provide evidence of children’s progress, for individuals and for different groups, such as Early Years Pupil Premium, funded two year olds
• discuss ways to assess children’s starting points
• examine the range of information to be collected to support practitioners to make ongoing assessments of children’s achievements
• discuss a variety of systems (electronic systems versus paper based)
• reflect on ways to ensure assessments are accurate
• explore how to support all children to make good or outstanding progress

Audience:  All practitioners working in the EYFS in schools, settings and childminders
