With various recent reports, reviews and muddled DfE policy how do we stay true to young children’s early education and development? Di will be talking about how we maintain the momentum of young children’s development and learning from their starting points and build on firm foundations. Looking at some key aspects of practice including Sustained Shared Thinking and self-regulation (EYFS 1.8 and 1.9); Observation and assessment (EYFS 2.1); the role of continuous provision; and getting back to exemplary, grounded early years practice (EYFS Overarching principles p.5).
