Helicopter stories: Letting imagination fly

Helicopter Stories is an Early Years and Key Stage 1 approach to communication and literacy based on the storytelling and story acting curriculum of Vivian Gussin Paley. In its simplest form, Helicopter Stories lets children dictate their stories which are written down verbatim, exactly as they are told. The children then gather round and the stories are acted out.

In this half day session, Trish Lee will teach the principles of Helicopter Stories and demonstrate the approach. Trisha's most recent book, Princesses, Dragons and Helicopter Stories is a detailed 'how to' manual on the Helicopter Stories approach. This book can be ordered, for collection on the day, at a discounted rate of £15.50
