Are you passionate about early years education? Are you looking for the opportunity to make a real difference in young children’s lives?
Are you inspired by working in a unique maintained nursery school? Would you like to work in a team that aspires to giving children the best start in the early years?
Our philosophy for Early Education lies in a good balance between child-initiated play, and structured, taught sessions. Our irresistible continuous provision inside and our wonderful garden and outdoor classrooms ensure that children make exception progress from the start. Early literacy and numeracy skills lie at the heart of all we do, with particular focus on Early Reading and Phonics. With the majority of our pupils being EAL, this is crucial to their development. Our belief is that innovative early years teaching lies at the heart of everything we do. We are a hard working team, where staff at all levels are encouraged to develop themselves and be the best they can be, in a supportive environment.
If you have the drive, ideas, and high expectations to help create a truly ambitious learning environment for 3-5 year olds we would love to hear from you!
We can offer you:
• Plenty of opportunities for professional development, within our school and the Haringey Nursery Schools Training Consortium.
• Wide opportunities to develop a subject specialism/area of teaching interest through the consortium
• A team dedicated to innovative early years teaching methods and implementing current research
The right candidate will have:
• Drive, determination and a passion for excellent teaching
• A positive outlook and a resilient nature
We recognise that these are strange and challenging times for candidates and therefore we welcome socially distanced visits to the school and so we are more than happy to discuss the role over the phone, on Microsoft teams, zoom, or Skype.
