There are new assessment demands on practitioners working with the twos. How can we reduce the paperwork, do the best for the children and make the progress Check useful for all those involved? This practical course will draw on Vicky’s recent work in supporting a range of settings with two year olds, to develop their assessment and planning processes and complete Two Year Old Progress Checks.
The course will:
- help you make vital assessments from your observations and use these to plan
- make sure these processes are easy to manage
- consider how best to involve parents, the child and other professionals
- decide what should be included in the Progress check, how best to write it and how to make it work for you, the child and parents
