Observation has been at the heart of early years practice since the pioneering days of the McMillan sisters and Susan Isaacs. But all too often, practitioners nowadays find themselves ground down by excessive amounts of paperwork, managing complicating tracking systems, and maintaining online learning journals. Isn’t it time to change that?
Julian Grenier is the Headteacher of Sheringham Nursery School and Children's Centre in London. His first nursery experience was in Sheffield and he has been hooked on working in the early years ever since! He has a doctorate in education from the Institute of Education, drawing on his research with practitioners working with two-year-olds.
Julian’s two most recent books are Successful Early Years Ofsted Inspections and Celebrating Children’s Learning.
