This course explores the importance of taking a play-rich approach in SEN support. You will learn about the benefits of play for children with SEND and consider the adult's role in teaching play skills. Using the stages of play and four broad areas of need, you will reflect on what you already do to support children and how you can build upon existing skills to develop high-quality teaching and practice. This course will provide;
- ideas for supporting children to become independent and to manage themselves through relationship building with a secure adult.
- practical examples, strategies, and techniques for SEND
- a framework for developing high-quality play rich SEN support
- Increased knowledge of the four broad areas of need
