THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
You are invited to join Early Years colleagues, for what we intend, will become the first in a serious of termly gatherings for those working within the Early Years sector, to come together in a twilight session to enjoy opportunities for:
Networking: Establish contacts with colleague in other settings to provide support to you and your setting.
Visit Other Settings: Gain ideas, share good practice and refresh your enthusiasm.
Training: Benefit from the range of speakers and activities on offer and develop your own skills and knowledge.
We very much hope the timing of this event will allow as many people to join us as possible.
Our first session is kindly hosted by Willow Childcare Centre in Woodford, Plympton. They close at 6pm, so we will be invited to refreshments and networking in a room from 6pm, we then hope to have a chance to look around the setting before having some input and exploring how junk can be used to good effect by children to create music.
We would welcome input from colleagues around their priorities for areas to explore through training at subsequent sessions, as well as any volunteers who feel they may be able to contribute to training or sharing knoweldge in specific areas.
In future sessions we hope to visit a range of settings, so we can all gain from having a tour and learning from each other, which has always been considered a valuable experience by those who have had opportunities to attend visits.
The sessions are free at this time, but we will be holding a raffle, with a view to raising funds to support refreshments on the evening.
If you feel you would like any further information about this event, or would be interesting in hosting or indeed attending a future event, please don't hesitate to contact one of the EE team or email Jayne Garcia firstname.lastname@example.org
We ask that you do not contact the setting who are hosting this event directly, but do direct any questions to the above email address.
We really do hope that these events will grow and seek to establish a strong support network for early years practitioners, particularly in the current sector climate and considering changes in recent years which have impacted the provision of such opportunities locally.
