‘Super Boys and Super Girls!’ - Creative ways to respond to superhero and weapon play

Superheroes and popular culture can have tremendous power to motivate and inspire young children, but we can often feel challenged to find positive and creative ways to support and develop this play in our settings. This session will cover creatively managing superhero and weapon play, including developing realistic limits, and how this can feed into, encourage and extend learning within the contexts of literacy and physical development. Participants will have the chance to discuss these issues, and leave with a host of ideas to implement immediately!
