Reasons to support us

"I will never forget attending my first meeting of Early Education in the 1970s, with an expert speaker and surrounded by people who were deeply committed to securing the best for young children. As the years have gone by, the journals and the clear and concise information and updates have continued to be invaluable. I can rely on Early Education to research and evaluate the facts, figures and events carefully and to campaign in a measured, well articulated and informed way.

"Early Education is the early childhood organisation that helps me most to do my work amidst like-minded colleagues. We need to support it and to make sure that it continues to be able to do what it does well. Times of recession and cutbacks are times to think carefully about what to keep hold of. I have never written a letter like this before but it shows the strength of feeling that I have for the crucial work that Early Education does, for me and for children and families and those who work with them. Now I know that Early Education needs my support over and above membership, I shall give what I can. I hope that you will too."

Professor Tina Bruce CBE, Vice President, Early Education

For over 90 years, Early Education has worked to ensure that early childhood teachers and practitioners have the support to ensure that every child can fulfil their potential. Every child deserves the best possible start in life. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right and provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up. Over the next 90 years, we want to achieve even more.

To realise our ambitious aspirations we need your help.  With your support Early Education can continue to support families and early childhood practitioners across all early childhood education settings in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to deliver effective learning and care that is underpinned with a robust understanding of the development of young children through:

  • Effective campaigning and advocacy for young children
  • Supporting professional development of all practitioners
  • New and improved publications and resources
