In this meeting Di will focus on the starting point of the EYFS curriculum ‘The Unique Child’ and how child development shapes the Enabling Environment and Learning and Development.

Issues covered include:
• Why observation is a crucial part of professional practice
• Taking a broader view of children’s development and learning
• The observation/assessment cycle (EYFS Statutory Duty 2.1)
• The implications for practice of the Ofsted Inspection Framework and proposed changes to the EYFS Areas of Learning and the ELG’s

This meeting is for everyone who works with young children in the EYFS and KS1 (Y1) including Managers Head Teachers, Senior Leads, Curriculum Leads, Governors and Trustees
