Course outline

Even before the current crisis, society was becoming more aware of the impact of stress and anxiety on children, often starting in their earliest years. Young children  don’t always have the words to tell us when they are worried or anxious - and they often don’t express their anxiety through ‘stereotypically anxious’ behaviours. This course will consider how children communicate anxiety and offer some principles and strategies for responding to their emotional and behavioural  needs during these challenging times.

This course will run in two parts a week apart, with a gap task in between to reinforce the key concepts explored within the webinar. You will be sent further details before each webinar of how to join the sessions. If you are unable to make the date or time of either webinar, you can still register and you'll receive the recording of each webinar and any materials afterwards.

Session 1: 30th June, 10.30am-11.30am

Session 2: 7th July, 10.30am-11.30am
