Course outline

Observing children’s play provides practitioners insights into the ideas and concepts that children are currently exploring and schemas help children to construct meaning in what they are doing.  Attending this course will help you to recognise schematic play and feel confident in building on their interests and fascinations. It will allow you to consider some definitions of schemas and schematic behaviour, to enable you to understand schematic play and confidently support children's schematic development and reflect upon your own practice.

This course will run in two parts a week apart, with a gap task in between to reinforce the key concepts explored within the webinar. You will be sent further details before each webinar of how to join the sessions. If you are unable to make the date or time of either webinar, you can still register and you'll receive the recording of each webinar and any materials afterwards.

Session 1: 3rd June 2020, 10.30am-11.30am

Session 2: 10th June 2020, 10.30am-11.30am
